This is the plugin in question, btw. Sorry, for my selfish plug. https://github.com/Mikilio/snapshots.yazi |

I am trying to create make a plugin that allows me to open snapshots of the current directory in new tabs. I wanted the plugin to be able to manage tabs opened this way to also add a "close all" functionality and to also have the plugin be aware when it is currently looking at a snapshot without making any kind of assumptions about the snapshotting tool being used.
For this, I need to be able to track tabs by some identifier that is unique and doesn't change.
Tried Lua object ID's, but these don't seem to quite work, as I can't seem to keep a single Lua object alive long it enough so it stays the same. Maybe it's just a lack of understanding on my side, but I will for now assume that there is no way to do what I want currently.
Is it possible to add a unique identifier to the Tab object?
