Does the marytts drop in still work?

I just installed the docker container for my home assistant docker installation. Went to the web page and tried out the voices.
Really fantastic program. Very robust and flexible, easy to use, etc. You can pick the balance of work load for the computer and quality of voice. Congratulations, really.

However, when I try the marytts dropin, the sound that comes out is just a bird-like chirping. Tried two different players, but the same result. Did some searching for the issue, but didn't find anything. No issues posted here about it. I assume that I missed something simple and stupid.
