You would have to edit each module where you would want to add consent and authorization. One example for consent to a research is available in the Module Builder...
Warning This example probably does not match codes or patterns used in actual practice in the real-world. It is only an example how you could add similar data to patient records. |

Jason:
Thanks again. Is there a way to insert a statistical value to have Synthea
model the data to represent occurrence values for a representative sample?
For example, if we know that patients consent to providing their PHI data
for research purposes about 60% of the time, could we model "Consent" in
Synthea similar to column Z shown below? Likewise, could we model the
Covered Entities' use of that data for research as shown in column "AB"
below?
Would be delighted to have a brief telephone call if you time permits. My
phone number is 615-252-2333. Likewise, I would be happy to schedule a
zoom call or call you directly if you prefer to provide your phone number
or a preferred time to conduct a zoom call.
All the best,

- Navigate to https://synthetichealth.github.io/module-builder/
- Click "GitHub Modules"
- Click "alzheimer_refresh"
- Click "anti_amyloid_beta_monoclonal_antibody_treatment.json"
- Find and examine the following states:
- Initial assessment for clinical trial
- Patient consented to clinical trial
- Enrollment in clinical trial

Dear Synthea Community:
Is there a way to simulate patients' response to consent to research and/or responses to HIPAA authorization forms to release PHI data?
For reference, I'm a PhD candidate that is developing AI models related to healthcare regulatory compliance and want to test my thesis on Synthea data.
All the best,
AJ
