Description
Requested Feature
BACKGROUND: I have been asked to generate a test patient management system. The system is supposed to allow a user to select a patient, assign one or more conditions with onsets, and then generate a health record over time from the onset dates to today and then onward at regular medically relevant cadence. Application developers would then use these test patients to test their systems.
Right now, I am implementing this in a very crude way of defining conditions and ranges for relevant parameters (i.e. A1c > 6.5 & < 8 for a diabetes type 2 patient). I want to make the medical histories of these patients more medically relevant and realistic.
It's my understanding that Synthea doesnt do a time range of data generation and doesnt allow for assigning conditions with onsets but am I read through your docs and it sounds like that is actually possible.
Before I went down the path of trying to incorporate it into my system, is there a Synthea feature for generating test patient data for one or more specified conditions with specific onset dates (For example: Patient has Uncontrolled Type 2 Diabetes and Hypertension Stage 2. The diabetes diagnosis was 1/1/2000 and the hypertension diagnosis was 1/1/2010)?
