Just to add to this: I currently track my items in a spreadsheet and have dropdown values for the warranty duration e.g. 6, 12,24 etc months. Having the ability to define those values as a drop-down in template would be great. |

What is the problem you are trying to solve with this feature?
Frequently, I run into items that have multiple types of warranties - for instance, something might have a 90 day store return policy, a 1-year labor warranty, and a 5-year parts warranty. It would be helpful to be able to track each warranty individually rather than a single catchall "warranty" section.
What is the solution you are proposing?
Move to a more tabular approach for the current warranty section that would have columns like:
In this concept, each warranty would be its own row with similar functionality to the current warranty info fields.
What alternatives have you considered?
Currently, I set the warranty to the longest one (so if it's a 90 day return policy, 1-year labor, and 10-year parts I go with the expiration of the parts warranty). If additional warranties are applicable I'll try and note them in the warranty details textbox.
