Printing directly to a Niimbot label printer

I just did a brief write up on Reddit on the steps I did to accomplish direct printing of a label to a Niimbot D110.

I took what you did and made some improvements using MQTT. No messing with network mounts and scripts moving files around. Also takes advantage of MQTT cameras to serve up the image in a slightly more secure manner (www is not secure so anybody could find the QR codes. Not the end of the world but wanted to avoid.).

Thanks for doing that and for the credit on your blog.
I wasn't too concerned about anyone accessing my labels on the www share. If they want to see what label I last printed then go right ahead 😂
I do like the MQTT method tho as I've already got that and can remove the share.

However I want to try and take it a step further and pass the label directly from HomeBox to Home Assistants automation by encoding the label to base64 and decoding it in HA. Cuts out the middle man. Will experiment with that later next week

Please share if you make any progress! I think the MQTT setup is "good enough" as it's minimal setup, but always open to improvements!
