What is the problem you are trying to solve with this feature?
I don't know if this is user-error or an actual missing feature so I apologize it advance. But I cannot find a relevant setting (but perhaps I missed something).
Currently, I have the following hierarchy:
House/Garage/Cabinet
If I put something into the garage (lets say, a lawnmower) and I go to the Garage page, I of course see the lawnmower. But If I add a drill to the cabinet (that is in the garage), I do not see the drill on the garage page. I only see it on the cabinet page.
My topmost location ("House") are completely empty since I put everything into a specific location. This is counter-intuitive as I would expect everything to show on that page.
What is the solution you are proposing?
My specific request (assuming I did not miss this setting) is to add a toggle on the locations view to show/hide all items that are contained in sub locations. So that if I go to the garage page, I can see everything directly in the garage (lawnmower, shovel) but also everything contained within it's child locations (e.g, the drill).
What alternatives have you considered?
