What is the problem you are trying to solve with this feature?

For any given item it would be helpful to know the sum of all costs that it accumulated over time.

What is the solution you are proposing?

To get info on total cost of an item, a TCO attribute would be helpful. This attribute holds the sum of the purchase price and all spare parts and maintenance costs of the item over time.

What alternatives have you considered?

Personally, I've been using a spreadsheet to sum up an item's initial purchase price plus costs of all spare parts and maintenance costs over time.
