MaTeX within barlegend

Describe the bug

I want to use MaTeX/LaTeX font as ticks for the contour/density plot I'm doing. Mathematica states that Ticks is not an option for BarLegend. After some research online, Using Method->Ticks>{...} does not make the program conflict. However, the font seems ugly.

Needs["MaTeX`"]
...

I'm sorry, it's not very clear what the problem is, and there's no simple instructions to reproduce it. It does not sound like this is related to MaTeX. I am travelling at the moment, and since this is not a bug report, I suggest you ask on https://mathematica.stackexchange.com/ where you are likely to get help sooner.
