RFC: Bun runtime for standalone binary distribution

With https://www.anthropic.com/news/anthropic-acquires-bun-as-claude-code-reaches-usd1b-milestone
(December 2025), there's strategic alignment for bdg to support Bun as a runtime option.

Proposal

Add Bun-compiled standalone binary as an alternative distribution method alongside the existing npm
package.

What this enables:

• Single binary download, no Node.js required
• Cross-platform builds (Linux/macOS/Windows) from CI
• Faster startup via bytecode compilation
• Alignment with Claude Code ecosystem direction

What stays the same:

• npm package continues to work
• No breaking changes to CLI interface
• Node.js remains supported for development

Trade-offs

Questions for discussion

1. Would you use a standalone binary over npm install -g?
2. Acceptable binary size threshold?
3. Priority: macOS ARM, Linux x64, Windows, or all three?

Not urgent

This isn't a "let's do it tomorrow" proposal. More of a "is this direction worth watching?" question.
