Tab width setting not being used on browser start

I have the tab width setting set to 50 pixels. When the browser starts, this setting is not honoured and the tabs are full size. I have to go to the add-in settings and change it to anything other than its current setting (I usually just change it to 51) and apply, then the tabs resize and work fine for the rest of the session until I restart the browser and then they are back to full size.

I was working on my day job and https://github.com/FreeTubeApp/FreeTube most of the time
And I only got time again for this project recently (stealing job time)

So I need more details about your settings (first 2 tabs)
and screenshots on how tabs actually look in your browser
