It is not possible to insert the char # in an input editor.

It's very likely that the "scrollToEnd" keybinding is preventing this.
That shouldn't work when an input editor is active.
This might not happen with every keyboard. I have a Cherry KC 1000 (German layout)

Confirmed. I can reproduce this. I'm using a Logitech MX Keys S keyboard with UK layout, so it's not a keyboard-specific thing.

Quick workaround, disable scrollToEnd

 keybindings: {

    scrollToEnd: null,
...
  },
