Missing docs for --theme()

I know it possible to reference theme values with --theme(), but that's not documented anywhere. I do see docs about the old theme(), but which any should be used now?

Heya! We haven't added them on purpose to our docs yet since we are not convinced you really need it and the old theme() function is document for backward compatibility. What was your use case for it?

Anyways going to close this since it's a decision that we made on purpose even though we're still considering adding it.

Thanks for the clarification! I was using it because I thought that was going to be the main way to access theme values. Like theme() did before. But later on I found out that you simply have to do that with just assigning the vars to a property.

Anyway, it still could be handy if you want to get the raw value from your theme instead of the variable, but couldn't think about a case for this yet.
