Blazor TW V4 Upgrade - Could not determine config. file

Hello there

I am fairly new to GitHub so apologies if the same issue was mentioned before, I couldnt find anything related to the displayed error message, which reads as follows:

I am not sure what exactly causes this issue as I have been using TW V3 for a year now with Blazor and it worked really well. I am not sure if this issue is based on the framework I am using or just me being an absolute noob (which could be the case as I just got into programming a year ago). I am glad for any suggestions or hints!

Edit: Also here is the current project structure I am using, as I am assuming it ahs something to do with it (Styles/app.css would be the input and wwwroot/app.csss the output)

Try adding a .gitignore file in C:\Users\dkaus\Desktop\Projects\EIOS\EIOS.Blazor\EIOS.Blazor that ignores node_modules

Well the good news first, this worked as in, I was able to execute the update and everything looks fine as far as the code goes. However, if I debug the project now it won't load, or rather it does load the API as well as an empty webpage. If I close the webpage I get an error which (if I get it right) tells me that theres an issue with the .NET framework.

So I suppose, as usual, that by fixing one thing I broke another.

Edit: I think i fixed it by "clean solution" and "rebuild solution", at least the page is being built now

According to the above method, ignore node_modules in gitignore

I already have 'node_modules' in gitignore but still getting the following error

I was having this issue inside a monorepo. I was executing the command to upgrade tailwind inside a subdirectory that did not have a .gitignore file inside it.

So I added a .gitignore file to the directory where I was running npx @tailwindcss/upgrade and that solved the problem.

My .gitignore file

# dependencies
/node_modules

It does not work for me, I created .gitignore with /node_modules inside and same results:

npx @tailwindcss/upgrade --force

Just add @config correct path of your tailwind config file like html in your css file. for example, I added @config ../tailwind.config.ts. in my globals.css file

This worked for me too. I had to specify the Tailwind config file location like so:

@config "../../../tailwind.config.ts";
