Localization of Taisei #414
Description
This issue tracks the progress of the ongoing localizations on the i18n branch.
Contributing
You are welcome to contribute a translation into your own language with little technical knowledge. Look at the po/ directory to find examples. You can edit the po files directly using GitHub or a text editor, but for increased comfort, it is recommended to use a dedicated po editor.
Below is a list showing the progress of different languages. If you see your language already in progress or complete, you can help by proofreading it.
You are also welcome to join our Discord to become official Testers. This will help us spot e.g. display bugs that only appear for your language.
How much work is it?
There are about 1330 strings that require translation and the average length is 2-3 lines. The German translation took 10-13 hours for me to complete.

What about the Extra Stage?
The i18n branch does not yet include all the text associated with the Extra Stage, which is about another 20% of additional translatable strings. For now we focus on the main game. When the Extra Stage is closer to completion™ we will ping translators who have completed a translation on GitHub.
