How do I use a trained model to predict on new videos?

Hi,

I am new to SLEAP. Until now, I have trained a model and have been able to use it successfully to predict on videos and extract data on the existing videos. Now I am moving onto a new project and will like to use the trained model for predicting on new videos. How do I go about this process? I am unsure on what file to merge into the new project and how the over all work flow would look like. Since I have a trained model, I want to make sure its prediction accuracy on the new videos.

Hi @isha-gore,

It looks like we missed your question! Hopefully you were able to figure it out, but if not, the process is as follows:

1. Create a new project
2. Add your new videos
3. Go to Predict --> Run Inference
4. Select the model type that you trained previously
5. Click over on the other tab(s) and click on the dropdown at the top and then "Select training config file..."
6. Browse to the model folder and select any of the files in there (this model path will be saved for next time)
7. Run prediction as normal!

You can also use the sleap-track command for batch/non-interactive use.
