User Agent change not applying

Describe the bug

Under Opera 95.0.4635.90 the pretended random user agent is not applied on websites.

Extension's Version: 4.2.1

The Extension's Popup is showing the pretended generated user agent and for a domain the application of it is activated.

When verifying the user agent application in an according website like

• https://duckduckgo.com/?q=user+agent
• whatismyuseragent.com

the user agent sill is the original one like

• ... "AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/109.0.0.0 Safari/537.36 OPR/95.0.0.0"

although the pretended user agent by Extension should be:

• ... "AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/131.0.6581.211 Safari/537.36 Edg/130.0.2696.118"

Setup of Extension is as follows:

• Whitelist mode
• Generator list: (selected most of desktop ones)
• General:
  • active
  • automatic rotation: OFF
  • generate at browser start
  • protect of recognition by JavaScript
  • others: OFF

Additional Info:

• no additional Extension in place that might have influences.
  • the oob Opera Ad Blocker is on
  • but also when switching it off, no success
• Opera's Extension Setup for user agent extension is:
  • allow in Incognito
  • allow access to site with search results: OFF
  • both settings have been tried in all variations without any effect

Steps to reproduce

• open Opera 95.0.4635.90 Window or Tab (either Normal or Private)
• e.g: visit https://duckduckgo.com/?q=user+agent
• open extention's popup
  • activate it for the current domain
  • (for verification) regenerate a user agent
    • user agent on top of the extension is shown to be regenerated like:
      • ... "AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/131.0.6581.211 Safari/537.36 Edg/130.0.2696.118"
    • website is reloading
    • website still shows the original user agent:
      • ... "AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/109.0.0.0 Safari/537.36 OPR/95.0.0.0"
    • even reload with bypassing the Browser Cache or emptying the Browser Cache is not leading to success

Same problem in 4.3.1 extension version on Firefox 134-137.

I've endlessly deleted and reinstalled several times. All to no avail. My Firefox browser is still showing chrome Android on whore.net
