C4GT DMP 2025 Proposal

If you are planning to submit a proposal to work on feluda for the C4GT DMP'25 program, here are a few important pointers to help you write a strong application: (link to DMP issue)

Note

While preparing your proposal, please ignore the code inside the src/ folder. This folder contains an older version of Feluda that is no longer actively maintained. We will move some of the operators from it, but other than the code is no longer maintained.

Some Helpful Notes

• Be Very Specific: Clearly describe the changes or improvements you are proposing. Avoid general statements and tailor your suggestions specifically to Feluda's current structure and needs.
• Standardization: If you include the standardizing operators in your proposal, please give concrete and workable suggestions. Highlight what is currently inconsistent or missing, and propose practical solutions. Like run() function of a operator does not handle the a case, all operators need to follow X input and are expected to raise Y error's when Z behaviour happens.
• Testing: If you are proposing improving test coverage, please go beyond rephrasing the DMP issue. Suggest how test coverage can be enhanced. Like what kinds of tests are currently missing? What integration tests could be added? Are there any tools or frameworks that could simplify writing and running tests? How could command aliases improve developer experience for running tests?
• Benchmarking: If you plan to discuss benchmarking, please list specific metrics you would consider and, if possible, link examples where other open-source projects have implemented such benchmarks/metrics.
• Documentation: If you suggest improvements to documentation, Instead of suggesting tools broadly, mention what specific changes would be needed in the codebase. Outline what would be required to set up a documentation generation tool and integrate it into the existing codebase.
• Tutorials and Examples: Propose ideas for additional examples or tutorials that could demonstrate practical use cases for Feluda and its operators.
