Menu not shown when icon clicked (macos)

On my mac (macos Sequoia 15.4.1), running the winit.rs example shows the icon fine, but no menu is shown when it is clicked (right or left mouse button).

did you add a menu using https://docs.rs/tray-icon/latest/tray_icon/struct.TrayIconBuilder.html#method.with_menu ?

@amrbashir, yes, definitely. In fact, I think I found out the issue cause. This issue happens when not using winit.

The winit example works, but this one doesn't:

That indeed won't work because you need an event loop

In my case (macos) I was using the winit.rs example code as-is, which includes a menu and a tooltip - neither of which appear.

It runs and shows for me, but no menu or tooltip. Do they both show for you? Do you also have an external monitor? Works OK there too?

Yes menu and tooltip show up.

No external monitor though.

I can confirm that: - menu items appears on macos "primary" display (the laptop one) - OK when an app is full-screen on that display - OK when there is no app full screen on that display - menu item appears on secondary displays - does NOT appear when there is an app full-screen on that display - I have tried all the 4 options for the the auto-hide/show menu bar when fullscreen option - menu never shows - OK does appear when there is no app full-screen on that display I cannot get a tooltip ever
