I have bought the esp32 pre assembled as seen 👇

I can see that there is new firmware available. Which version should I get?

I would choose "opendtu-generic_esp32.bin" but is that correct?

Your assumption is correct. RTFM and you'll find the information as well ;)
Backup your config and the pin-mapping before upgrading.

I was unsure whether it was the one named “opendtu-generic.bin” or “opendtu-generic_esp32.bin.”
I took a backup as you suggested and updated.

Everything is working fine, and my system is now updated. Thanks for the help! 👍
