Change HV trip time (or value?)

Hello,
When using the hoymiles DTU you're able to change HV trip voltage (or time, i dont recall) via the cloud app, to accomodate to your local voltages fluctuations.
I only use opendtu so i canot access the cloud app. My voltage is rather high her (~250V), and often goes beyond 253V for some time, and the hoymiles stops and comes back to life after 20 minutes.
It would be nice to be able to change that behaviour in opendtu ? I can read the grid settings and it says : high voltage 253V; trip time 3seconds...

Where are you located and what is your actual grid profile?
OpenDTU cannot upload grid profiles and cannot change an existing grid profile. You must have an installer account and a Hoymiles DTU.
It is not recommended to change any of the grid profile settings. It might be illegal in your country as well. Instead, contact your energy provider and ask him to fix the high voltage issue.

i'm in france where voltage is supposed to be at 230V with +/- 10% variations, so 253v is still ok for my energy provider.
my grid profile, according to opendtu, is : XX - EN 50549-1:2019 Version 2.01

I did a quick search and found that grid profile UTE C 15-712-1(A) for mainland France would apply to you. You are currently using a generic grid profile for Europe which might not be compliant with your energy provider requirements. Please get or find someone with a Hoymiles DTU and update the grid profile of your inverter, then check again.

if i connect my HMS to a hoymiles DTU, is there no risk that a new firmware gets installed and i loose opendtu connection ?

As far as I know, firmware updates are carried out on request. I have not heard that updates are applied automatically.

The Wlite-S DTU will work for HMS/HMT models with 1G radio. Which inverter do you own?

i got the hoymiles dtu, was able to change grid profile to VFR2019
now HV trip is :
264V for 0.1s
253V average 10min

so it seems good :)

but now opendtu cannot read the grid profile correctly...

Hi everybody, I'm in the same situation and Wlite-S DTU is in shipment. I read that you need a specific "installer" account to have the permission to change the grid profile is it true, or did you use a regular account ?
From the latest post, I understand that updating the openDTU with the latest firmware should solve the VFR2019 to be recognized, correct ?

Normal account.
You can do what you want with your DTU (even bad things ; take care => /!\ use your brain ! ).

Hope it's ok with me asking you but are you aware if you can make changes to your grid profiles/specific parameters any time you want using the DTU version Lite or is it a one time operation during initial installation?

My inverter is throwing some errors and I am trying to decide which version would be suitable for my needs. Thank you in advance!

You can do what you want, and change your profile at will.
(I tested many profiles until finding the good one)

Hi all, just a quick feedback. It worked on my side setting up the official hoymiles DTU through the phone app and then accessing the web profile on a PC.
I didn't use FR_VFR2019 but the one that was 'recommended' in the drop down list for France. I can get the name if needed. I migrated from the generic EU grid profile my inverter got shipped with.

I also confirm you can flash them multiple times.

Now the inverters are not shutting down anymore.
