Ignore word action should create typos.toml in project folder, if there's no any

I'd like to propose an improvement for "Ignore word" action.

Currently, the action does nothing if there's no typos.toml, if I put empty typos.toml - action works.

The action should create typos.toml if the file doesn't exist.

Thanks for raising this ... so typos.toml should already be created if needed, but I think you may have found an edge case.
Do you recall the path/url to the buffer you were editing with the typo that was missing the ignore action?

I see your point, but unfortunately I'm noticing this behavior for different files
few fresh examples

Ok those are normal looking file paths, so don't seem like the issue.

Would you be able to enable debug logging by setting RUST_LOG = "debug" (see neovim config here) and send me the logs from :LspLog?

The other thing that would be useful would be seeing your neovim config for typos lsp.

I assume this happens because LspInfo returns nil for root directory, when there's no typos.toml in the repository

And this happens because nvim-lspconfig doesn't have .git as root marker

Adding this is solving the issue

vim.lsp.config("typos_lsp", {
    ...
    root_markers = { '.git' },
    ...
})

Not sure if you're managing nvim-lspconfig configuration or it should be addressed separately ?

Thanks for this - I think you've correctly identified the issue as being the nil root dir.

nvim-lspconfig is community owned. Including a .git root marker is probably what we want to do. It was removed because of an edge case in mono-repos. So we'll have to reconsider that first.

It's probably also good UX to hide the ignore code action if there's no root dir (although it doesn't solve this issue).
