Seeing overshoots on record counts

Running against the local file system and a directory with 14 ldjson files in it I'm seeing counts coming out too high. 

Expected: 487470 - Received: 487479 

So off by 9 but nothing in the process should be generating extra records. No errors or retries on the job while it's running.
