To ensure economic security and network sustainability, we must define the complete tokenomics specification for the PAR token, including detailed mechanics for issuance, distribution, and utility within Parity Protocol.

Scope of Work:

  • Total Supply Model:

    • Fixed vs dynamic supply models.
    • Potential use of capped inflation schedules tied to network growth metrics.
  • Initial Token Allocation Architecture:

    • Distribution to functional categories:
      • Runner/Validator rewards pool
      • Foundation reserves and operational treasury
      • Ecosystem development fund (grants, incentives)
      • Core contributors/team allocation with vesting constraints
      • Community airdrops or retroactive rewards
    • Vesting schedules, cliffs, and lockup conditions.
  • Emission Mechanics:

    • Continuous reward emissions tied to task execution rates.
    • Decreasing reward curves (e.g., exponential decay, quadratic bonding curves).
    • Dynamic adjustment mechanisms based on network congestion or demand.
  • Runner and Validator Reward Schemes:

    • Task-based reward computation formulas.
    • Differential reward rates for Sources of Truth vs Validators.
    • Penalty models for failed or malicious execution attempts (slashing frameworks if applicable).
  • Token Utility Models:

    • Staking for runner eligibility and collateralization.
    • Governance: voting rights over protocol upgrades, emission parameters, treasury allocations.
    • Access: using PAR as a unit of account for priority compute services or marketplace access.
    • Potential fee sinks: task submission fees denominated partially in PAR with burn or redistribution mechanisms.
  • Economic Security Considerations:

    • Minimize reward dilution across time without discouraging new node entrants.
    • Protect early contributors without enabling excessive accumulation.
    • Modeling supply-demand equilibria under various adoption, churn, and task volume scenarios.

Deliverables:

  • Formal tokenomics design document (specification format).
  • Simulation models (agent-based or discrete event) for reward sustainability analysis.
  • Public release of v1.0 of PAR Tokenomics whitepaper.
