**Adam Stacoviak:** So what I'm bringing up is this idea that this -- like, you had the Ford Bronco come back, and that was gas-based, not EV-based. But then you have this Scout Motors, which I had no idea about a Scout. So this is all new to me.
2+
3+
**Jerod Santo:** No. It's not a Jeep?
4+
5+
**Adam Stacoviak:** I don't even know, it's not a Jeep.
6+
7+
**Jerod Santo:** It looks like a Jeep.
8+
9+
**Adam Stacoviak:** It's not a Jeep, though.
10+
11+
**Jerod Santo:** Is it because Jeep's just a brand?
12+
13+
**Adam Stacoviak:** Yes.
14+
15+
**Jerod Santo:** A manufacturer.
16+
17+
**Adam Stacoviak:** It's got this nostalgia from back in the day...
18+
19+
**Jerod Santo:** It's a square SUV... It looks like a Jeep Wrangler.
20+
21+
**Adam Stacoviak:** Yeah.
22+
23+
**Jerod Santo:** Okay.
24+
25+
**Adam Stacoviak:** It looks Bronco-ish too, right?
26+
27+
**Jerod Santo:** Yeah, yeah.
28+
29+
**Adam Stacoviak:** Wrangler-ish, Bronco-ish... It's got this--
30+
31+
**Jerod Santo:** It's a Scout.
32+
33+
**Adam Stacoviak:** ...this older style to it.
34+
35+
**Jerod Santo:** Okay.
36+
37+
**Adam Stacoviak:** I'm not trying to harp on Scout necessarily, or Scout Motors, but this idea of... This take what was old and modernize it as an EV...
38+
39+
**Jerod Santo:** What if we take what's old and make it new again?
40+
41+
**Adam Stacoviak:** Yeah. This idea.
42+
43+
**Jerod Santo:** And this is a metaphor for Rails? \[laughs\]
44+
45+
**Adam Stacoviak:** Sure... Sure... No, but I was just thinking, "Are you down with that?" Are you down with the idea of take the old school and make it new school, and it's EV new school?
46+
47+
**Jerod Santo:** If it's well-executed.
48+
49+
**Adam Stacoviak:** Yeah.
50+
51+
**Jerod Santo:** Because... Take the same exact concept to movies and I say "No", unless it's well-executed. Then I'll say yes.
52+
53+
**Adam Stacoviak:** Then you'll say yes.
54+
55+
**Jerod Santo:** Yeah, for sure.
56+
57+
**Adam Stacoviak:** What's a good, well-executed, since we're going to movies...
58+
59+
**Jerod Santo:** Didn't we do this with -- we tried to figure out when we had Emily Freeman and Justin on the show...
60+
61+
**Adam Stacoviak:** Right.
62+
63+
**Jerod Santo:** ...a good remake, or a good reboot. And we decided that Blade Runner was pretty good, and that Dune --
64+
65+
**Adam Stacoviak:** Dune was good, yeah.
66+
67+
**Jerod Santo:** ...was pretty good.
68+
69+
**Adam Stacoviak:** Dune's kind of standalone, though. It's a remake, but it's not --
70+
71+
**Jerod Santo:** It's a different version of the same story. They're telling the same story though. It's a reboot.
72+
73+
**Adam Stacoviak:** Yeah, it is a reboot.
74+
75+
**Jerod Santo:** Okay. So I'm not against the idea, I'm against the way it's executed poorly. And so if Scout kills it, then I want one.
76+
77+
**Adam Stacoviak:** You want one.
78+
79+
**Jerod Santo:** I do want one. Here's why I want an EV... I hate oil changes. \[laughs\] I hate the complication and the complexity of an internal combustion engine. I like the simplicity and the lack of maintenance on an EV. Now, what I don't like about an EV is there's one giant battery that just goes bad eventually, you know? Or blows up. But what I do like about it is I'm used to taking care of batteries... I feel like I can take care of a battery, better than I can take care of... Ice.
80+
81+
**Adam Stacoviak:** Yeah. I drive an F-250, as you know...
82+
83+
**Jerod Santo:** That's a large internal combustion engine.
84+
85+
**Adam Stacoviak:** It's a diesel engine. It's even different than a gas engine.
86+
87+
**Jerod Santo:** Yeah, it's diesel.
88+
89+
**Adam Stacoviak:** And it has the requirement of DEF fluid. Are you familiar with DEF fluid?
90+
91+
**Jerod Santo:** Say again?
92+
93+
**Adam Stacoviak:** DEF fluid?
94+
95+
**Jerod Santo:** I think I have some DEF fluid in my ear.
96+
97+
**Adam Stacoviak:** Hello? DEF? Are you making fun of \[00:03:32.15\] on this podcast?
98+
99+
**Jerod Santo:** No, I'm making fun of you.
100+
101+
**Adam Stacoviak:** Oh, okay. Gotcha. DEF. I think it stands for...
102+
103+
**Jerod Santo:** Oh, DEF Jam Records.
104+
105+
**Adam Stacoviak:** ...Diesel Exhaust Fluid, I believe... DEF. Acronym.
106+
107+
**Jerod Santo:** I will believe you, because I have no way of checking it.
108+
109+
**Adam Stacoviak:** Me neither. I'm believing me as well. I'm not sure.
110+
111+
**Jerod Santo:** Anybody with a computer could prove that wrong...
112+
113+
**Adam Stacoviak:** Well, so it requires diesel... Some say diesel. Not diesel.
114+
115+
**Jerod Santo:** I say diesel.
116+
117+
**Adam Stacoviak:** Diesel. I say diesel, too.
118+
119+
**Jerod Santo:** Okay. Why did you call it diesel, then?
120+
121+
**Adam Stacoviak:** I'm cool with either, actually. I'm cool with diesel, or diesel.
122+
123+
**Jerod Santo:** Or Vin Diesel.
124+
125+
**Adam Stacoviak:** Oh, yeah. Vin Diesel...
126+
127+
**Jerod Santo:** I'm cool with either one of those.
128+
129+
**Adam Stacoviak:** I think he's actually a diesel.
130+
131+
**Jerod Santo:** Yeah, he's more of a diesel, I think.
132+
133+
**Adam Stacoviak:** He's the example where it's got to be a Z.
134+
135+
**Jerod Santo:** Yeah, I agree.
136+
137+
**Adam Stacoviak:** So my vehicle requires diesel, as well as DEF fluid...
