Run as Docker container

Nice project. Do you have any plans/guidance to containerise this?

Hi,

As this is a very old project, I do not have plans to containerise this. Also, I use Nvidia hardware encoding, and that in docker is a bit unhandy.

The manual setup instructions should be enough to create a docker instance.

Also I do not update the code anymore, expect some library updates.

I thought to first run it in a VM using the install instructions however I get dreambox offline error. Is there another log file I can check?

I think this has to do that a Docker container is not allowed to access local network by default. You could try https://labex.io/tutorials/docker-how-to-configure-a-docker-container-to-use-the-host-network-415202#configuring-a-docker-container-to-use-the-host-network . Make sure the used ports are free on the host computer.

Also there is a folder called storage/logs which should contain a file with logs. Not sure if there is something help full in.

There should also be a .env file with settings. There you can enable debug by setting APP_DEBUG=true.
