About ns-bufferbloat.tcl and connection between mobile nodes -- base station

Dear Tierney,

Thank you for introducing your work about web_perf and some simulation script on bufferbloat. I would like to ask you a question about the script ns-bufferbloat.tcl. Hope you support me :)

So far as I read and understand your script, I see that it models only wired-network, not wireless and mobile ...

For example:

$ns duplex-link $tower $mobile 200kb 10ms DropTail

It is impossible to have a duplex-link connection between tower and mobile. ns2 used radio propagation model and mac layer to set it up.

How did you think of make a wireless link as a wired link....It is confusing me. Please help.

In case of wireless, I do not know how to use different queuing (RED, DropTail, PI, etc) in ns2 for wireless-link (mac layer). Do you have any suggestions?

Have you confirmed mobile phone data transmissions are not full duplex?

"Wireless" in this case isn't 802.11(pre-n).

I confirmed that mobile phone data transmissions are full duplex.

So that, your case is fixed-node simulation,( no distance or movement).

If "Wireless" in this case isn't 802.11(pre-n)., so this is cellular network or just a fixed network ?
