Access URL of optimized image outside of snippet?

is it possible to optimize an image and access the URL of the optimized image outside of the imagex-picture snippet? For using them in a JavaScript context for example.

In my case I'm loading images into a Three.js scene to be used as a texture (more specifically, I'm building a portfolio/showcase that renders a Three.js scene from a dynamic set of project images) and was wondering how/if I can make use of the optimized images. The people managing the content of the site don't necessarily have the knowledge to optimize the images they upload themselves, so being able to rely on the plugin for it would be great.

Could you please test beta-7: composer require timnarr/kirby-imagex:0.2.0-beta.7

You are now able to return JSON containing all attributes and image URLS with this new snippet $json = snippet('imagex-picture-json', $options, true);
