Midiinput sporadically showing and not showing the value in preview, despite registering notes #840

Describe the bug
Midi Input randomly changes the control number and occassionally no values are coming through on the preview, despite the nodes flashing orange. This is sporadic, unpredictable and inconsistent.
I am running an Elektron Machine drum into a UMC404HD via midi cable. The notes seem to be consistent when I am not running a sequence from the Machine drum and just triggering notes with the pads. However, when the sequence is running, it is quite unpredictable how long it is going to preview the numbers changing and data input for the noteout.
But now, just trying it ALSO when I just trigger it, i am getting no value changes in the preview window. This is completely inconsistent. I get the node lighting up orange, registering a trigger, but nothing in the preview.
Sometimes the midi control number will randomly change on me, but this seems to be not happening currently. No, I am not using teach Trigger each time. I am just using a Midinput, with the corresponding control number 36 for the Kick midi note.
