Multilang setup issue - alternate languages are missing on default language pages

On non-default language pages (like /pt/contact), all languages get hreflang tags including the default language

This is a known issue in kirby-seo 2.0.0-alpha.3: hreflang tags (alternate languages) are only generated if the current URL matches the canonical URL exactly. For default language pages, if you access them with their explicit language code (like /en/contact), the plugin's strict URL comparison can cause all hreflang/alternate tags to be omitted—even though the page is valid and indexable. This is discussed in detail in issues #143 and #146, and is rooted in how the Meta class checks canonicality and generates alternates.

There isn't a built-in setting or documented workaround for this in alpha.3. The standard fix would involve overriding or extending the Meta class logic to relax the canonical URL check or to ensure alternates are always rendered for all language versions, even when the default language is accessed with its code. Keep an eye on future releases for a more robust fix, as this is a recognized edge case with localized slugs and canonical URL handling.

Can you please give more details about your setup, in specific case about why the 'isCanonical' check might fail? I have tested this with the latest release in all my multi-lang sites and couldn't find anything.
