[OSPO Book] Event Plan to Target V2 Launch #709
Description
Suggesting late-2026 / early-2027 LF events to target for the OSPO Book v2 launch for a high-impact launch.
Activities could include a panel with authors + book lounge with printed copies, AMA session, etc. Initial shortlist based on LF events page includes:
- KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe — Amsterdam, Mar 23–26, 2026
- Open Source Summit North America — Minneapolis, May 18–20, 2026
- Open Source Summit Europe — Prague, Oct 7–9, 2026
- KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America — Salt Lake City, UT, Nov 9–12, 2026
- Open Source Summit Japan — Tokyo, Dec 7–9, 2026
- KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe — Barcelona, Mar 15–18, 2027
- (optional) PyTorch Conference — San Jose, Oct 20–21, 2026 (AI/ML crossover if we want a vertical tie-in)
Next steps:
- Confirm primary + backup event(s) and WG memebrs who can be on-site
- Note CFP windows
- Coordinate with LF Events for on-site activities
- Coordinate with LF marketing to align blog plan with those dates
