I am a user from China, and I really love your note-taking product—it’s incredibly impressive to use!
However, I’d like to share a small piece of feedback regarding the pricing: the lifetime membership is set at $499, which converts to approximately 3,500 RMB. That amounts to about half a month’s salary for me. While I genuinely wish to purchase the lifetime membership, the current price is quite a financial burden for me.
I believe there are many users like me who hesitate due to the exchange rate. We truly appreciate your software, but the uniform international pricing makes it difficult for us to take the step toward becoming paying members.
Therefore, I’d like to suggest: could you consider implementing pricing that better aligns with the purchasing power of different regions, such as China? This kind of “regional pricing” is quite common among many commercial software products. Adopting this approach would not only attract a large number of potential users like us—allowing us to comfortably become paying members—but also, in the long run, users who support you early through fair pricing are likely to become your most loyal fans and advocates.
I sincerely hope AFFiNE continues to grow and gains even more users and recognition worldwide!
