Toltec failed to uninstall

I want to uninstall Toltec from my RM2 and perform a factory reset, but Toltec failed to uninstall.

I don't have the output of toltecctl uninstall, since it got lost in the terminal, but have the latest error from journalctl -xe

Checking /opt shows that some files are still there, however, they seem to be gone after rebooting.
Toltec or any other binary don't seem to be available anymore.

Is it safe for me to proceed with codexctl to update to the latest version (twice) and factory reset via the UI, as according to wiki?

If /opt is now gone after a reboot, then it should be safe to continue.

What likely happened is that you had processes running from /opt that were holding files open.

That's also what I thought, but I wasn't sure whether there were additional steps after removing /opt that didn't run because of this error.
I'll try to update the system and perform the factory reset as specified in the wiki.

There are, but since you already rebooted, the only one that would matter for being able to do a factory reset after upgrading is already dealt with:

toltec/package/toltec-bootstrap/toltecctl
