It's not a crazy idea - it obviously is something that potentially could make sense. It would need to be done with care though, because it's quite a different UX to the current periodic break functionality and I don't want to over-complicate the app. I'm not actively working on the app at the moment, so this realistically is not going to happen. Just want to manage expecations. Maybe if I ever overhaul the app and do a new major version, it's the kind of thing I might consider at that point. |

Hey tom-james-watson,
I hope you're doing awesome! Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say a big thanks for creating such an amazing break timer app. Seriously, it's been a game-changer in my daily routine, and I can't imagine getting through my tasks without it now. 🙌
Your app's simplicity and thoughtful features have made a world of difference for me, and I wanted to share a suggestion that could take it up a notch. Have you ever thought about adding the Pomodoro Technique into the mix? I think it could be a match made in productivity heaven! 🍅⏲️
So, here's the deal: the Pomodoro Technique is all about working for 25-minute chunks (they call 'em "Pomodoros"), followed by a quick 5-minute breather. It's like a little productivity dance! But here's the kicker: after four of these work sessions, you take a slightly longer 15-minute break. It's like hitting the reset button for your brain. 🧠🔄
Imagine how cool it would be if your app could seamlessly guide us through these Pomodoro cycles. Not only would it help us stay on track, but it'd also give us a solid structure to tackle tasks with renewed focus and energy. And hey, I totally get that adding new stuff can be a bit of a journey, but I truly believe this could make your app even more awesome.
And speaking of awesome, I'm loving the idea of customization too! Being able to tweak the work and break durations to fit our personal flow would be a game-changer. And those little reminders – you know, a gentle nudge when it's time to shift gears – could be a lifesaver for those of us who get lost in the zone.
By the way, I had a thought about the longer break after four rounds. What if it was a solid 15 minutes? It'd give us a bit more time to stretch, grab a snack, or just recharge before diving back in. 💪
Anyway, I just wanted to share this idea with you because your app has already made such a positive impact on my life. Keep rocking the awesome work, and I can't wait to see where your app journey takes us next!
Sending good vibes your way,
Vivek
