It might also be technically feasible to have Topgrade disable these services, but that's a discussion for another time. |

Some programs like pkgfile on Arch Linux, or mandb (preinstalled on most distros), ship with a service that automatically updates their entries daily.
Personally, I don’t really like having a service running in the background just for this. So I usually disable these services and add scripts to my topgrade config to refresh their databases along with everything else. Like this:
My goal is, what do you all think about having support for this type of tool, is it a good or bad idea? I like the idea, but I think most people don't really care about having a service running for this.
