Look into slow connection-rendering

Rendering of connections slows down the whole page, we need to check if there are improvements in rendering them.

• Check if the render method is being called multiple times for each connection
• Maybe this also causes the massive amount of NaN errors
• Consider using lodash instead of underscore because we need to traverse a lot
