I encountered a seemingly reproducible failure when updating two older Trezor T's that hadn't been updated for quite some time, specifically from 2.6.4 Universal to 2.11.1 Universal. The firmware update itself would complete "successfully", but after restarting it would immediately (before PIN entry) hit a RSOD with the error message: (screenshot)
INTERNAL ERROR

Reconnecting the device resulted in the same RSOD. Restarting in bootloader mode worked, but reinstalling the firmware did not fix it; a full factory reset was required to restore them to working order.
The same thing happened on both devices I tested, and they both booted fine before the update, so this seems to happen consistently rather than being a one-off snag.
I did not notice any further issues after the factory reset, even after restoring the previous settings (enabling passphrase + setting the same custom name/background).
