Right now they are committed to the standard user error log (stderr). I would be in favour of keeping that behaviour regardless as users are much more likely to notice those than the syslog. The fact that every user can see them is a good incentive for sysadmins to fix them.
Also, repeated parse errors could spam the syslog.
