k neighbors?

Is adding methods for k nearest neighbors within scope of the package? Are there plans to add it eventually? looks like #26 (comment) mentions the backend work needed to support this but this was a while ago. Anything changed?

This is not within the scope of the package. This package is designed for particle-based simulation methods like SPH, where we need all neighbors within a certain radius, no matter how many these are. An octree-based backend is in progress, but only to allow different particles to have different search radii. The core idea is still that we want to find all neighbors within this search radius.

Ok. I'm working on eulerian based meshless methods (RBF-FD) at RadialBasisFunctions.jl where k-nn is usually the standard. PointNeighbors.jl is a generic name so I figured I'd ask. Nice package!
