You can just add '-disablemodding' to the launch arguments in Steam, or launch DRG in safe mode. This disables the game's integrated modding but MINT still works. |

Hi all,
As of July 3, 2025, GSG updated how mod integration works. Currently, any and all DRG mods installed through Mint will be flagged, and the game will enter "sandbox" mode. This affects save management and multiplayer gameplay for Mint users in a negative way, and disallows many common use cases for Mint.
This issue happens because DRG flags the mods_P.pak file that Mint generates on mod installation. Since DRG's sandbox mod check cannot discern the contents of this file, your game will be put in sandbox mode, even if you have no sandbox mods installed. DRG will remain in sandbox mode as long as it recognizes the presence of mods_P.pak
I have found a temporary measure to circumvent this undesired behavior in the game:
By following these steps, you can continue playing DRG with your Mint mods without having to use sandbox saves and lobbies. However, updating and installing new mods via Mint will generate a new mods_P.pak. In which case, repeat the numbered steps above
If any members of the Mint dev team would like additional input or help, I'd be happy to provide it. Thanks for your work so far 😊
