[Question] The Library Future (new arch)

Hello,

first of all thank you for this library and the work!

As the new architecture of react native is the only architecture of react native since version >=0.82, i would like to know if this library will see new arch support at some point? I saw pull requests which tried to achieve that being closed or even approved but ignored without any clear review feedback.

To be clear on RN 0.81 and new arch enabled the library seems to work but it is only possible because of the interop layer and therefore this library is not fully utilizing the new architecture to benefit from it's improvements and would be dead as soon as the react native core team removes the interop layer for 3rd party libraries.

As the package has 200k+ monthly downloads on npm i am just asking if the library will be maintained or if we should consider alternatives etc.

Hi! I still use this for my own apps, so certainly would like to keep it updated.

I've unfortunately have had super little time recently to work on this, but would be very happy to merge tested code to achieve new arch support!
