Text selection cannot be cleared by mouse click after selecting text

With this extension enabled, clicking outside the selected text area to deselect does not work properly in certain cases.

There appears to be a similar issue in #123, but since that issue is already closed, I am creating a new one.

Steps to Reproduce:

• Navigate to https://example.com/
• Select all text using Ctrl+A
• Click outside the text area with the mouse
  • Expected: Text selection is cleared
  • Actual: Text selection is not cleared (in fact, clicking anywhere on the screen does not clear it)

Environment:

• OS: CachyOS Linux
• Desktop Environment: KDE Plasma 6.5.4
• Graphics Platform: Wayland
• Browser Version: Google Chrome 143.0.7499.169 (Official Build) (64-bit)
• Extension Version: 0.1.210

Tested with the following commit and it works correctly:

This is a rollback of 8297998#diff-87d7a96211bcbd52297c8151003ac3b9ac8a1003b7aac5a41337d261a6a0233e
I did not submit a separate PR as I am unsure of the original intent behind that change.
