using .bst file for bibliography

Thank you for your really nice template.

Actually, I am not a latex expert. I have a problem when I want to use format .bst for my reference. I don't know how to change it and in which part should I change.

I change the reference style using this command.

\bibliographystyle{frontbackmatter/template}
\bibliography{bibliography,ownpubs}

I guess something I need to change whether in preamble/biblatex or preamble/general.

Hope you can answer my questions. Thank you in advance!

The template is using biblatex for bibliography, which does not support .bst styles. You now have two choices: either you adapt preamble/biblatex.tex and customize the way how biblatex is used to match your style (see here), or you modify the template to use bibtex and your bst file.

I am not sure, which part should I change if I modify the template to BibTex.

Because when I exclude this command %\input{preamble/biblatex} from preamble/general and using the BibTeX command. It did not work.

You also need to change other files to switch to BibTeX, e.g. thesis.tex and bibliography.tex.
