Summary
Migrate the curated content from awesome-developer-tools-marketing into a new dedicated section on DevToolsAcademy. This will serve as the go-to destination for the latest in marketing strategies, inspiration, and tools for devtool startups.
Why?
• Developer-focused SaaS often struggle with positioning, distribution, and go-to-market.
• Centralizing marketing case studies, campaigns, blog teardowns, and expert tips helps everyone build better.
• This will also drive backlinks, newsletter growth, and content virality.
Content to Include from GitHub Repo
• Open source growth strategies
• Real-world examples from Vercel, Supabase, Posthog, etc.
• Twitter/LinkedIn thread teardowns
• Marketing pages: Launches, Waitlists, Use Cases, Case Studies
• PR, Community Building, SEO for Developers
Feature Scope
• Create a new route /marketing
• Convert Markdown files or repo sections into blog-like posts or resource tiles
• Optional: Tag system (SEO, Community, Content, Docs, etc.)
• Add a “Submit a Resource” or GitHub PR flow
• Weekly/Monthly “Best of DevTool Marketing” digest (can integrate with Newsletter)
Design Notes
• Consistent with DevTools Academy’s visual language (black grid background, clean layout)
• Use cards or a table with tags, icons, external links
• Highlight: “Recently added,” “Trending,” and “Editor’s Picks”
Long-term Goal
Turn DevTools Academy into the “Every” or “Marketing Examples” for technical startups — 100% focused on devtools.
