Cursor position in numbered list

Describe the bug
Cursor position on first letter of numbered list is not right.

To Reproduce
Try a new document with the following Markdown.

1. Step A
2. Step B

Put the cursor after the letter A on the end of the first line.
Then press the right arrow once, to go to the next line.
See that the cursor appears to the right of the S.

Expected behavior
The blinking cursor should be to the left of the first character (that's where new letters go if typed)

I'm running into the same issue. I can't edit the start of a list, and I've tried everything to get rid of that indent style.

Same issue, my cursor is actually before the h in this screenshot but it is shown after it. Already tested 1.14.3-dev and I am on macOS 26.5.1.

Considering the age I don't get a sense that anyone is watching these unfortunately.

What other info would be helpful? I'm on Mac Tahoe 26.4.1, and it happens regardless of any configuration. This is where (the furthest left) my cursor sits when I navigate with keyboard or mouse:
