Internal screen freezes while external stays responsive

Describe the bug

Sometimes, after logging in (from screen lock), the internal screen of the laptop stays frozen while the external screen is still responsive. Usually, waiting another 5 minutes for the screen lock and logging again fixes the problem.

What did you expect to happen?

The system shouldn't be locked/frozen.

According to linked article those regressions were introduced in 6.19 kernel but I'm running 6.12.

Also different and resolved since 6.12.9. I assume that 6.12.0-184.el10.x86_64 is based on even newer version.
