Describe the bug
While watching a movie in Stremio (Electron app) on Bluefin (GNOME 47.5 + Wayland), my entire system froze and became unresponsive. A forced reboot was required.
Log analysis shows:
-
XWayland crashed, which GNOME Shell considers mandatory, triggering the full desktop exit.
-
Dash-to-Dock began spamming rendering errors after the crash, suggesting it failed to recover or contributed to the instability.
What did you expect to happen?
I expected to watch a movie in Stremio without the system freezing or requiring a forced reboot.
Output of bootc status
Booted ostree

Extra information or context
This issue occurred while watching a movie in Stremio (Electron app). Since Electron apps often rely on XWayland under Wayland, it seems like the XWayland crash caused GNOME Shell to exit completely. This was followed by Dash-to-Dock spamming rendering errors.
