Describe the bug
Bazaar shows apps that are already installed on Bluefin as available to install again. Installing them via Bazaar creates duplicate entries in Bazaar’s app list. These duplicates only appear inside Bazaar, not in the GNOME app launcher.
Note: Sorry, I’m not sure if this issue should be reported here on the Bluefin repo or on Bazaar’s GitHub issues.
What did you expect to happen?
Bazaar should detect installed apps correctly and not allow reinstalling apps that are already installed. No duplicate entries should appear in Bazaar’s installed apps list.
What happened instead?
Bazaar lists pre-installed apps as installable. Installing them again creates duplicates in Bazaar UI only. The GNOME app launcher shows only a single instance of the app.
Steps to reproduce the behavior
- Boot Bluefin (version below).
- Open Bazaar.
- Search for apps that come pre-installed with Bluefin.
- Notice they show as “Install” even though they are already installed.
- Click “Install” for one of these apps.
- Bazaar shows duplicate entries for the app.
Additional context
This happens with multiple default-installed applications. The problem appears related to Bazaar’s detection of whether an app is already installed. There are no adverse effects on app functionality.
