It is necessary for the automated updates to announcements.json to occur.
To make a new announcement, add a comment to this issue in the following format:
test (Subject) announcement
The above comment will create a new announcement with the subject "test" and the description "announcement". After commenting, wait a minute or two and you should see a new PR opened by the Github Actions bot. Merge this PR into main in order to add the new announcement.
Announcements will only be accepted if the user is whitelisted as according to the update_announcements.py script.
