Duplication operation destroyed all channel data #331

Describe The Bug
I played around with the plugin and while testing the layer duplication feature it once destroyed all layer channel data for both items (and custom values input reverted back to layer color). ctrl+z also couln't restore it anymore. I managed to do this only once and cant reproduce it again sadly but maybe this should be kept on track when it reappears. I also used channel modifier and renamed the layers so it could be that one of those operations caused the bug?
